It’s nice to finally see Alfa Romeo be able to produce this mouth watery Porsche competitor, the Alfa Romeo 4C. This little car is essentially the heart and soul of Alfa Romeo, hopefully its successful reintroduction here in the US.

Alfa Romeo Returns To the Geneva Motor Show.  Alfa is back with its spectacular booth including the world première of the Alfa Romeo 4C, at last. The ‘compact supercar’ is the true essence of a sports car, something Alfa Romeo hopes to embody with it and its traditional authentic values of the brand: Italian style, performance, and technical excellence, offering maximum driving satisfaction in total safety.

The Alfa Romeo 4C.  Designed by Alfa Romeo and produced in the Maserati plant in Modena, this mid-engined rear-wheel drive will finally be available in 2013 and will be the first car to mark the return of Alfa Romeo US.

Derived from the concept unveiled a little while back, the Alfa Romeo 4C uses as much technologies and materials  from the 8C Competizione. You’ll find ample use of carbon, aluminium on a performance rear-wheel drive car. Using the new 1750 turbo aluminium block engine with direct injection, Alfa Romeo’s “Alfa TCT” twin dry clutch transmission and the Alfa DNA selector with the brand-new Race mode complete the package.

And performance so it shall have, the weight to power ratio rests at less than 8.8 Lb per HP. This vehicle simply screams Alfa Romeo 4C MiTo.  Next to the Alfa Romeo 4C, two MiTo cars will be there, a Limited Edition Superbike 170 HP of 200 models and a Superbike 1.4 135 HP TCT Special Series, customized with the original SBK kit. Both special versions are inspired by the MiTo, Official Safety Car of the “FIM SBK Superbike World Championship”, a witness to the winning team of the brand and the Championship, starting in 2007, that best conveys Italian motor racing style and experience around the world.

Giulietta Adore.  The spotlights will be on Alfa Romeo’s Giulietta which will be débuting the brand-new Veloce (“Fast”) version in Geneva, an evocative name from the Alfa Romeo tradition. Veloce versions were devised in 1956 together with the Giulietta and these versions bearing that name created a specific purpose of identifying cars distinguished by specific equipment which emphasised their sports character, which made them so famous over time.  You’ll also find the powerful Quadrifoglio Verde and the Giulietta equipped with the exclusive “QV Sportiva” pack, dedicated to all customers looking for a car with exciting performance, top-level technological equipment and distinctive styling.

It’s good to see Alfa Romeo back and seeing FIAT letting it breath again after a few disastrous and chocking decades.
