Is the Italdesign’s Bristol Namir rumors true? A high performance Plug-in Hybrid, PHEV could be around the corner. See Torquenews.

For those of you who might not remember, Italdesign showed us a stunning concept back in 2009 at the Geneva Auto Show of a plug-in hybrid that would knock the competition out of the water. OK so there weren’t a lot of PHEV back then but this Giugiaro stunner is not only beautiful but packed performance that would compete with then likes of Ferrari and higher-end Porsches. This was the early booming years of electric vehicles and many chalked it off as yet another concept.

Bristol is tight lipped about it but the rumor mill is whispering a possible production using a Fraser-Nash plug-in hybrid high-performance platform with in-hub electric motors and a rotary engine.
