Scott Wilson of the Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington, D.C. recorded a video showing the start-to-finish installation of an Aerovironment 240V electric vehicle charger (aka Electric Vehicle Service Equipment, EVSE) in his garage. This unit charges his Nissan LEAF.
The video is a nice walkthrough of the requirements and process for installation of a home charger for your EV. You’ll also see a few things you can do before the electrician shows up to smooth the process and make it a bit less expensive.
