Ford F-150 takes Truck of Texas Title at the Truck Rodeo

The 2015 Ford F-150 has won the Truck of Texas title at the annual Texas Truck Rodeo, sponsored by the Texas Auto Writers Association. Ford made a double header, in fact, with its 2015 Transit winning as Commercial Vehicle of Texas.

“TAWA members represent the voice of truck buyers in Texas, America’s largest truck market,” said Mike Marrs, president of TAWA. “After exhaustively testing 75 vehicles from 18 brands, the all-new Ford F-150 is our clear choice for Truck of Texas.”

For the record, if you’re counting, that means Ford has won 9 out of the last 12 times that the Truck of Texas award has been issued. Pretty impressive given that the competition from the other four full-sized truck makers is often pretty hefty.
