The Chrysler 300 Makes Return at LA Show

Chrysler unveiled the new 2015 Chrysler 300 at the Los Angeles Auto Show and it builds on the design and style of the current-edition by adding more sophistication to the 300’s look.

The exterior proportions and general look haven’t changed, but a little more sculpture has been added to reduce some of the “gangster” it used to have. The front grille is now in line with other Chrysler products, such as the new 200 sedan, as well.

Interior design elements in the line throughout add more details including a standard 7-inch drive information display inside the cluster. The steering wheel is now three-spoke like others in the line and die-cast paddle shifters are available for the first time.

The TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission remains standard on every model and gives best-in-class highway fuel economy in the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, and an impressive 31 mpg for the V8 engine option. Up to a six percent fuel economy improvement is had nearly across the board.

A new Chrysler 300C Platinum model becomes the opulent version of the 300, with quilted Nappa leather, hand-sanded wood, and leather-wrapped instruments and console.

A new Limited model is also available, adding the most standard appointments every available in the model’s history. Heated leather seating, Uconnect with voice commands, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, 5-year/100,000-mile warranty, and more are all on this model.

A new Chrysler 300S is also added, making for the sport edition of the 2015 300 line. With 20-inch Hyper Black wheels, added athleticism to the sides of the car, blacked-out accents, an exclusive deck-lid spoiler, and a higher-output V6 engine (300 hp, 264 lb-ft) and paddle shifting mark this one apart from the rest.

Production for the new 2015 Chrysler 300 begins this quarter and models will be in showrooms early next year.
