Ford Motor Company is offering access to its electrified vehicle technology patents to competitors in order to help accelerate research and development industry-wide. Ford says that doing so will help promote faster development of future inventions.

By sharing our research with other companies, we will accelerate the growth of electrified vehicle technology and deliver even better products to customers. As an industry, we need to collaborate while we continue to challenge each other. By sharing ideas, companies can solve bigger challenges and help improve the industry.

Ford has released its patents through AutoHarvest, a collaborative innovation and licensing marketplace for automakers large and small. Patents can be licensed individually or in groups through the non-profit system.
