Ford Sending the F-150 Raptor to China

Ford has announced that in 2017, it will be sending the Raptor pickup truck to China for sale in that market. The F-150 Raptor SuperCrew with its 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and 10-speed automatic transmission will be sold on the Chinese market. The truck will be an import from the Dearborn, Michigan plant and will not be manufactured in China, which is likely an indication of the low volumes of sales expected there.

“F-150 Raptor represents the very best of what Ford can accomplish with its world-class engineering and design teams, and its long history of building tough, capable and versatile trucks,” said Jamal Hameedi, global chief program engineer, Ford Performance. “We are thrilled to offer our customers in China the chance to experience new levels of off-road performance with the all-new F-150 Raptor.”
