If you love taking the time to customize your car, you’re not alone. Many people love to personalize their cars so that they stand out from the rest of the boring models – it’s a hobby. However, it can be an expensive hobby. Is there a way you can pimp your ride without going broke? Sure! Here are some affordable ways you can do this to your vehicle without spending all of your savings:
Changing Out Your Lights
Want to turn your car lights into a bit of a light show while you’re out on the road? A HID light bulb conversion kit could be just what you need. You can transform your boring headlights into something more colourful for around $70. Just make sure your lights aren’t going to blind anybody while you’re out on the road. Probably best to use them while you’re parked up to be safe!
The Steering Wheel
Pimping your steering wheel is a task that needs to be undertaken seriously. You can’t alter it so much that it makes it difficult to hold or changes the way you drive the car. A steering wheel cover is cheap enough, but you could even replace your steering wheel with something that has a little more character. You could spend up to $150 and give your car a whole new feel. Just remember that you won’t have an airbag, so it does compromise your safety a little.
Ok, so you definitely know that having too many of these on your car can look a little cheap, even if you spend a lot of money on them. You need to know when to stop. If you find just the right amount, then it could give an attractive finish that means you don’t even want a custom paint job! You could spend anywhere up to $70 to give your car a little bit more personality. Will you go for racing stripes or flames?
Vanity plates can be a status symbol to the world. They tell everybody you like to be unique, you like to personalize your car, and that the car belongs to you. You could put together letters and numbers that spell out your name, or pretty much any word you want as long as it’s not obscene. The thing with these is that they can vary depending on what exactly you want to use. They can be anywhere from $100 upwards, usually much more expensive. If this is something you’ve always dreamed of having but you want a great one, then it could be worth paying it off in installments. There’s no credit check personal installment loans to consider, but just be sure you can afford the payments. It isn’t worth getting into lots of debt over a number plate!
Tinting Your Windows
For two front tinted windows, it can set you back about $90. Just be sure this is something you’re allowed to do, as the rules and regulations car vary by area. Some states prevent tinting that can stop officers seeing into the front seats. A mild tint can still look cool and make driving more comfortable.
