Exterior: Standard and Options

The new Ford Ranger is a mid-size pickup. It is available in XL, XLT, and Lariat trim packages.

Each of those can be applied to either the SuperCab or SuperCrew model with your choice of 2- or 4-wheel drive.

The cargo bed is 6-feet long on the SuperCab and 5 feet in length on the SuperCrew.

The front fenders and hood are aluminum. The tailgate is aluminum as well and is designed to hold people or cargo when lowered. It is equipped with frame-mounted steel bumpers.

Safety Features

The standard model comes with automatic emergency braking. If you upgrade to the XLT, you’ll find a reverse sensing system, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and blind spot monitoring.

The Lariat option takes it a step further with cruise control, forward collision warning, and pedestrian detection.

The Good Stuff: Technology

There are dual LCD driver information displays and a Sync 3 infotainment system. There’s an 8-inch touchscreen and you can sync your Android or iPhone with it. It also comes with Ford+Alexa voice assistant technology as an option. A navigation system is another optional upgrade.
