Demon Vs Shelby GT500

Ford and Dodge. Two of the biggest auto manufacturers in the United States, one of the greatest rivalries in history. Ford and Dodge have been competing for decades, competing to see who can produce the best, fastest, most powerful muscle cars in America. One of the biggest examples of this competition, was between the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Both are fast, powerful, and good looking cars, but which one is best? Well, this article is going to put these two muscle cars against each other, and decide which car is truly the best.

Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, with its supercharged 6.2L HEMI v8 engine, this is one powerful car. Capable of 840 horsepower, 0-60 in 2.3 seconds, this muscle car is both powerful and fast. But, with speed and power like that, you have to give up certain features from the car, and a lot of features at that. Backseat? Gone. Passenger seat? Gone. Speakers? Gone. In order to reach these insane speeds, the SRT Demon has had to lose many of its features. But yet, the SRT Demon has become one of the fastest street cars on the market. Packed with modern technology, such as direct fuel injection technology, high

tech transmission break, torque management systems, and new engine cooling features. These high tech gadgets, allowing you to prevent burnouts, allows for better fuel efficiency, producing more power, better use of the engine, yet again producing more power, and of course supercooling the engine to prevent overheating. Overall, with Dodge dropping excess weight, and implementing new technology in the SRT Demon, the SRT Demon has become one of the most powerful, and fastest cars on the market.

Ford Shelby Mustang GT500

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, built with a supercharged 5.2L v8 engine, this muscle car packs some serious power. Capable of 760 horsepower, this car can reach 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, which is one fast car. Built using features from other GT’s, the Shelby GT500 has been designed to have almost zero flaws with it. This car has been redesigned from past GT’s, and improved greatly. With new engine technology, such as the active baffle system, direct injection technology, and a new supercooler, this car has better fuel efficiency and more power than previous GT’s. Also, with a brand new electronic power steering unit, this muscle car has better agility at greater speeds, handling a lot better than other muscle cars on the market. Overall, with years of improvement, Ford has been able to produce yet another, powerful and fast muscle car, one of the best cars on the market to date.

Building a fast car is no easy task. It takes years of research, testing and development to build the best muscle car in the United States. Both Ford and Dodge have built an aggressive but healthy competition to have the best car on the market. So who won?
