Ram Recalls 99,000 ProMaster Vans for Overheat Issue

FCA US LLC is recalling an estimated 99,128 trucks in the U.S. to help prevent certain fan motors from overheating.

Should engine cooling fans become disabled, their corresponding fuses may not protect them from overheating. Such circumstances, which may be preceded by warning-light illumination, pose a potential fire risk.

FCA is unaware of any potentially related injuries or accidents.

The recall is limited to certain 2015-2018 Ram ProMaster vans equipped with air conditioning.

Affected customers will be notified when service becomes available. Should they observe warning lights, they are advised to turn off their vehicles’ engines and contact their dealers.

Those with questions or concerns may call 1-800-853-1403.

Additional vehicles will be subject to recall in Canada (est. 8,025) and Mexico (est. 2,249).
