Be careful driving in these US cities

No one wants to get into a car accident. Even the most experienced and confident drivers need to be careful when driving to avoid accidents. However, while accidents can occur anywhere, they are more common in certain places. This is often due to a build up of traffic, leading drivers to become frustrated and careless. So, certain roads and areas require a little more care on the road. Here are certain places in the US to be extra careful on the road.

Los Angeles

The 105/110 freeway in LA is a nuisance that LA residents will know all too well. It’s regularly stuck at a gridlock due to accidents. But why? The population in LA is increasing, meaning that there are simply more vehicles on the road. It’s a popular tourist hotspot too, with the chance of seeing celebrities or stumbling across a film set. So, make sure to apply extra care on this pesky freeway, and in LA in general. Drive with caution and, if you get into an accident, contact a car accident lawyer in LA.

New York

You probably won’t be surprised to learn that New York is another accident-prone city, mainly because of the amount of traffic. Drivers will regularly find themselves at stand-stills, frustrated about the lack of movement. There are also lots of pesky one-way streets and unexpected turnings. So, do your research before driving in New York and make sure you check out the route. If possible, try taking public transport instead, as New York is well connected and much easier to navigate this way.

Boston

The city of Boston is also known for its vast amounts of traffic, actually beating LA and New York in recent studies. While this leaves people feeling a little perplexed, it’s thought to be due to the international airport right by downtown, which seems to cause lots of major traffic. It also has one of the oldest road networks. So, if you’re traveling to Boston for a work trip or vacation, make sure to take extra care on the roads.

Washington D.C

Washington D.C is one of the most famous places in the US, housing the federal government’s 3 branches: The Capitol, White House and Supreme Court. This, of course, means that it’s a busy place with lots of traffic. Expect to sit behind five coaches and cabs picking up tourists. You’ll also become frustrated with travelers driving around the city who aren’t used to driving in the states.

Seattle

Seattle is a quirky and interesting city that is worth a visit. However, it’s not a great place to drive. It’s full of traffic and the chilled vibe means that pedestrians will wander around without looking. Take extra caution, or avoid driving there if possible.
