The DeLorean DMC (aka “DMC-12”) is one of the most iconic cars ever made. So what happened? Why didn’t the car sell?

The DMC was produced for only two years and only about 9,000 of them were made. There are several reasons the DMC did not take off or become a best-seller to launch the company into full-fledged automotive manufacturing.
