In a historic photo lineup, the cars that have successfully undergone testing and approval for the 2014 race season were gathered on the race track for a photo shoot. The picture showcases the 61 cars racing in seven classes from two racing series – GRAND-AM Rolex and American Le Mans.
For the first time, the two series were combined in a weekend-long race event and the event promoters were smart enough to put all the cars on the track for a historic photo op. Next year, the two series will be combined into the United SportsCar Racing series.
I’ve been watching that development for some time and wonder how it will all work out. Although I miss the LMP 1 and 2, I’m also looking forward to what the Daytona series could bring. I think the real fun will happen again behind the obvious ones, maybe GT3, and of course Hangar 56
Ya, Garage 56 is awesome. Note the second row, you’ll see the new DeltaWing Coupe in the center. 🙂
