With finance deals being shoved in our face all of the time, it’s hard to ignore the temptation. One of the reasons we can pull ourselves away, is because we can’t get enough of a deposit for the car that we have. Or we can’t seem to sell it at all. So, like you would do with a house, why not perk up your car to increase your chances of being able to sell it for more. It won’t take too long to do it, there’s only a few minor changes that we can recommend making that we know will increase the value of your car. All you have to do is keep on reading, and take onboard the tips that we have for you!

Improve The Quality On The Seats & Dashboard

The quality of the interior is often what let’s a car with a little bit of age down. We think it’s pretty much impossible to get in and out of a car so many times, and drive with food and whatever else in it, and not slightly ruin the interior. Depending on how old your car is, you might have ruined it a little more than some people. So you could book it in to get a full valet of the inside. Valeters can using cleaning solutions on the seats which brings up all of the rubbish that has been ground in over the years. Rather than being stained and patchy, they look brand new! The dashboard is going to be more prone to scratches than stains, which is pretty hard to get rid of. But again, valeters can work their magic and get rid of some of the marks, although they won’t be able to get rid of all of the scratches.

Add Exterior Protection

Exterior protection is usually what big car sales places offer as a package to go with a sale. It costs hundred, yet they sell it because it’s effective. It’s something anyone can do to any car, and it will definitely get you more for the deposit. Using a ceramic coating for cars will create waxy layer of protection that will make the colour of the car look great. It’s well worth the money, and something to think of doing to the next car that you get as well!

Drop Your Expectations

Sometimes you just need to drop your expectations of what the car is going to be worth. Just because you think it’s worth that much, doesn’t mean that other people are going to be prepared to pay it. It could be the best looking older car in the world, but you’ll still struggle to get more than market value for it if you haven’t done any modifications to it. You might just have to save a bit on the side as well for a new one!
