Mercedes-Benz Adds New MB.OS Giant Screen To Electric GLC

This interior redefines luxury by merging emotional comfort with the “Welcome home” feeling with cutting-edge digital technology.

Mercedes-Benz will unveil the highly anticipated all-electric GLC with EQ Technology at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich on September 7, 2025. This model introduces a fresh era of their “Sensual Purity” design language. The cabin centers around a seamless MBUX Hyperscreen, stretching from pillar to pillar (roughly 39.1 inches), offering immersive digital interaction.

This display is backed by matrix backlight technology featuring over 1,000 individually controllable LEDs, enabling intelligent zone dimming with separate brightness sliders for different display areas. The overall design emphasizes a “Welcome home” feeling, integrating digital sophistication with emotional comfort.

A sweeping sculptural trim unites the center console and dashboard into one continuous surface, enhanced by ambient lighting along its lower edge. Up to two inductive fast-charging trays are available, along with a hard-key control strip (including hazard button), and separated cupholders for usability. Galvanized-style air vents contribute a clean, technical aesthetic. When you adjust climate settings, the ambient lighting and vent illumination briefly shift color to indicate changes.

The vehicle offers high-resolution ambient themes that evoke moods ranging from calm to intense and technical to emotional. These themes harmonize instrument cluster colors, control elements, and ambient lighting to create a customizable atmosphere.

All of this digital and aesthetic orchestration is powered by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), ensuring seamless physical–digital integration.
