The C-HR nameplate returns to the U.S. market for 2026 as a battery electric vehicle (BEV), joining Toyota’s expanding lineup of electrified cars. It’s designed with a coupe-like profile and athletic styling that gives it a distinct, sporty presence in the compact SUV segment.
Dual-motor AWD comes standard in the new C-HR, producing 338 combined system horsepower. Toyota estimates a 0-60 mph time around 4.9 seconds thanks to the powerful electric setup. The C-HR includes DC fast charging capability, with 10–80 % charging in about 30 minutes under ideal conditions, and a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port for broad charging network access. All with an EPA-estimated ~287 miles of range on the SE grade with 18-inch wheels, and about 273 miles on the sportier XSE with 20-inch wheels. The C-HR uses a 74.7-kWh battery pack.
Inside, the new C-HR sports a premium, modern interior with soft-touch materials, customizable ambient lighting, and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Cargo space offers 25.3 cu ft behind the rear seats, expandable to 59.5 cu ft with the rear seats folded.
The 2026 C-HR will be available in SE and XSE grades, with standard comfort and technology features such as wireless smartphone charging, multiple USB-C ports, driver assistance systems, and more. It’s expected to arrive in U.S. Toyota dealerships in March 2026 with an MSRP starting around $37,000 (excluding dealer fees).
