Cadillac Unveils Elevated Velocity Concept at Concours

The Cadillac Elevated Velocity was designed to “elevate the state-of-being” of occupants.

The Elevated Velocity Concept serves as Cadillac’s vision of a next-gen, luxury-meets-adventure electric crossover. It blends high-performance V-Series heritage with innovative wellness and off-road tech — from breathing-synced lighting and infrared recovery treatments to sand-storm navigation and self-cleaning exteriors. While it’s not slated for production as-is, this concept likely previews Cadillac’s design and tech language for future EV models.

From Cadillac’s Official Press Release

  • Vehicle Identity: The Elevated Velocity is an all-electric, high-performance 2+2 crossover concept, deeply rooted in Cadillac’s V-Series legacy, combining luxury with adventurous, off-road capability.
  • Design Philosophy: Its name reflects dual themes — “Elevated” for its lush, elevated experience and “Velocity” for its off-road performance prowess.
  • User Experience Modes:
    • Welcome Mode: Illuminates the floor, seats, doors, steering wheel in soft white light; gull-wing doors lift open; desert sand–inspired animation plays on the steering wheel; Cadillac and V-Series logos glow.
    • Elevate Mode: Engages autonomous driving. Steering wheel and pedals retract; lighting shifts to red with infrared seatback lighting; door lighting syncs with breathing; displays outside temperature, driver’s body temperature, and cabin temp; guided breathwork is offered via ambient light on the cowl.
    • Velocity Mode: Returns manual controls; lighting transitions to cool white; a steering-wheel screen shows speed, battery health, and AR HUD navigation; emphasis shifts to driving focus.
  • Drive Modes:
    • e-Velocity — Sporty on-road driving, evolved from current V-Mode.
    • Terra — Raises air suspension for off-road terrain.
    • Sand Vision — Enhances visibility in sandstorms, like Night Vision.
    • Elements Defy — Uses vibration to repel dust or debris from the exterior.
  • Exterior & Materials:
    • Sculptural design with aerodynamic 2+2 layout, raised ride height, 24-inch wheels, stretched hood — echoing Cadillac’s Celestiq and Lyriq aesthetics.
    • Exterior in Vapor Blue (with glacial grey undertones) contrasted by fiery red interior; blue-tinted windshield and side glass; gull-wing doors; wheels made of flax fiber and black crystal-tint acrylic; signature transluscent lighting and light-tunnel rear lamps.
    • Luxurious cabin layers: Morello Red Nappa leather, Cerise sleek fabric, Garnet boucle, brushed metal, tinted acrylic, and sand-polo-inspired 3D printed black crystal patterns.

The Cadillac Elevated Velocity was designed to “elevate the state-of-being” of occupants while delivering hypercar-level electric performance across diverse terrain.
