Video Review: 2026 Rivian R1S

This is a great vehicle and platform that's being screwed over by "everything's an iPhone now" tech.

The R1S is the SUV version of the Rivian platform. I reviewed the R1T pickup last year (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Q5yCn-DihIE) and loved it except for a couple of key issues.

The same issues are here with the R1S. This is a great vehicle and platform that’s being screwed over by “everything’s an iPhone now” tech.

Video Summary (AI): The 2026 Rivian R1S is a midsize electric SUV offering impressive off-road capabilities, a quad-motor all-wheel-drive system, and a real-world range of up to 410 miles depending on the battery pack. It seats seven with a third row and offers a spacious cargo area. However, its high price point and reliance on touchscreen controls and a glitchy app detract from the overall experience.
