Jay Leno drives the 1956 Jaguar XKSS owned by Steve McQueen

There are not many cars as iconic as the 1956 Jaguar XKSS once owned by Steve McQueen. The deep green car has a classic, flowing design and is one of the lightest vehicles Jaguar ever produced.

Basically a street legal race car, the XKSS (or XK Super Sport) was called the “Green Rat” by its famous owner, who had his license suspended at least twice while driving the car.

In this episode, Leno talks with the museum curator who’s now looking after the car, a writer who literally wrote the book on McQueen’s vehicle collection, and, of course, Jay then takes the car (worth millions) out on the streets of Hollywood for a cruise.
