Someone bought a brand new Corvette C7 Z06 and was showing it off to friends, who were filming on a cell phone. After goosing the throttle a few times to let it blast that beautiful note, the car launches. On the shift to second gear, however, it appears too much throttle was applied after the clutch drop and the torque rips traction and the ‘Vette careens wildly into some trees.
The Z06 wasn’t destroyed, but the video’s description says it was about $20,000 in damage. And one really peeved insurance agent, no doubt. (Warning: foul language.)
