CarNewsCafe’s Reader’s Choice Awards 2025

It's once again time to show you what your favorites were!

We’re coming to the end of the year, which means it’s awards time in automotive. As is tradition here, while everyone else is giving out awards for “Best of” or “Top Pick” or whatever, we here at CarNewsCafe focus instead on what you, our readers, liked the most.

So here are the top five 2025 model year vehicles, by site traffic and searches, that we’ve reviewed on our website this year. The vehicles that you, our readers, have been most interested in.

Choosing this list was simple: we looked at this model year’s vehicle reviews on our site, sorted them by search and viewing traffic, and made a list of 5. Here’s that list.

#1 – 2025 Volkswagen Atlas and Volkswagen Taos

We had a tie for the top spot this year, both Volkswagen models. The Atlas and Taos were within a point of one another on the totals. The big, boxy, and surprisingly nimble Atlas was a favorite amongst three-row and family vehicle searches.

The two-row Taos, on the other hand, had a lot of searches for “sporty SUV” and “small VW.”

#2 – 2025 Volvo V60

The V60 won purely because a whole lot of CarNewsCafe readers love them some station wagons. One of the few on our review list this year, the V60 fits that bill nicely. Aaron’s video review included a nice walkaround to show off this one’s beautiful shape.

#3 – 2025 GMC Hummer EV

With over four tons of awesomeness, the Hummer EV is a favorite search regardless of platform. Aaron’s YouTube can attest to that. Here on Car News Cafe, though, the Hummer is the only one on this list that was directly named in its Google searches to land here.

#4 – 2025 Mercedes-Benz G 580

There’s competition for biggest battery-powered SUV and the G Wagen brings that as our number four pick. The number of incoming Google searches for this one nearly equaled the Hummer. Ridiculously large batteries are a fan favorite, it seems.

#5 – 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

And rounding out our list is the most searched-for hybrid at CarNewsCafe: the RAV4. Like a Prius but with room, the RAV4 Hybrid is a super efficient, family-friendly utility. So it definitely deserves to be on this list.

Non-Vehicle Review – Sunray Park 109

And finally, as a sort of honorable mention, we have our most-viewed non-vehicle: the 2025 Sunray Park 109, Aaron’s family’s personal RV. He did a review of this shortly after his family bought it. Tiny homes and capable off-road adventure trailers are popular right now.
