Porsche makes limited collector 911 GT3 90 to tribute FA Porsche

The 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 F.A. Porsche is based on the 911 GT3 with the Touring Package and its adaptive rear spoiler.

Porsche has announced that it will produce just 90 of the 911 GT3 90 F.A. Porsche edition in tribute to the original 911 designer and to celebrate the designer’s 90th birthday.

Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, grandson of Porsche’s founder, is often cited as one of the greatest industrial designers in the world. He drove a specially designed 911 model in the 1980s as his favorite car. This new 2027 limited edition model takes its cues from that car. Were he still alive, his 90th birthday would come in 2027, the model year for which this new Porsche 911 GT3 90 will be designated.

The bespoke green metallic paint, Grid-Weave fabric, Chronograph 1 watch, and travel bag are all designs of F.A. Porsche during his career.

Ferdinand’s son, Mark Porsche, worked with the Porsche Sonderwunsch design team to create the special edition 911. In tribute, one of the 90 being made will be given to Mark.

The 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 F.A. Porsche is based on the 911 GT3 with the Touring Package and its adaptive rear spoiler. It retains the naturally aspirated, 502 horsepower (369 kW) boxer engine. Each of the 90 units will include an exclusive edition of the Chronograph 1 watch, a Weekender travel bag from Porsche Design, and the exclusive paint and upholstery package.

Suggested retail for the car will be $387,000 before taxes and delivery. Production for the limited 911 edition will begin in mid-2026 for the 2027 model year.
