Volvo Cars just lifted the curtain on its newest fully electric SUV: the EX60. It’s touting it as a true game-changer in the rapidly evolving EV market. For families and tech enthusiasts alike, this is a model that pushes the boundaries of range, performance, safety, and user experience.
The Volvo EX60 delivers best-in-class range, capable of going up to 400 miles on a single charge in its most advanced configuration. That’s a serious step forward, not just for Volvo, but for the EV segment as a whole. And when it comes to charging, the EX60 makes everyday long-distance travel more convenient than ever: it can add up to 173 miles of range in just 10 minutes on a 400 kW fast charger.
For U.S. customers, Volvo takes a bold leap toward charging convenience by equipping the EX60 with a native NACS charging port, which means direct access to Tesla Supercharger stations without adapters.
The EX60 will be offered in multiple powertrain variants to suit different driving styles and needs:
- P12 AWD Electric: Up to ~400 miles of range
- P10 AWD Electric: Up to ~320 miles
- P6 RWD Electric: Up to ~310 miles
Each variant blends long-distance capability with responsive performance and everyday peace of mind.
Built on Volvo’s new SPA3 platform and powered by the in-house HuginCore system, the EX60 ushers in a new era of vehicle intelligence. Including tech like:
- AI-powered voice assistant: The first Volvo to launch with Google’s Gemini, enabling conversational, natural language control.
- Smooth, responsive interface: Faster, more intuitive infotainment that integrates seamlessly with your favorite digital services.
- Premium audio experience: A 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system, including headrest speakers, and Apple Music with Dolby Atmos which create an immersive sound environment.
This combination of technology makes the EX60 not just a car, but a smart companion on the road.
True to Volvo’s heritage, the EX60 sets new safety standards. With advanced sensors, reinforced structural design, and world-class restraint systems—including the multi-adaptive safety belt. Volvo also emphasizes that the SUV will improve over time thanks to over-the-air updates.
The EX60 is already available for order in Europe, with U.S. deliveries expected to begin later this spring. Production starts this spring at Volvo’s Swedish factory, with stateside availability following soon after.
