Slated for a global debut in Q2 2026, the model will first appear as a pre-production showcase, signaling a bold new chapter for the historic British marque.
Despite carrying the iconic Interceptor name, the GTX is not a continuation model or retro rehash. Instead, it’s a completely clean-sheet design–Jensen International’s first from the ground up. The company is aiming squarely at enthusiasts who crave an unfiltered driving experience, pairing a bespoke V8 engine with an aluminum chassis and a hand-built aluminum body. The goal? Deliver a visceral, analog feel in a world increasingly dominated by digital interfaces and electrification.
Backing the project is industry veteran Jeff Qvale, whose connection to the Jensen name runs deep. As the son of Kjell Qvale, former owner of Jensen Motors, Qvale brings both personal passion and extensive experience in the global luxury and performance automotive space. His background spans everything from import and distribution to limited-series manufacturing, and his involvement underscores the seriousness of this revival effort.
Jensen International leadership sees Qvale’s role as pivotal, particularly in positioning the Interceptor GTX within the high-end market. The car is intended to appeal to discerning buyers seeking exclusivity, craftsmanship, and a more traditional performance ethos—something increasingly rare in today’s landscape.
The timing of the GTX’s reveal is also symbolic. Arriving roughly 60 years after the original Jensen Interceptor debuted, the new model aims to blend heritage-inspired craftsmanship with modern engineering.
