VW unveils angelic engineers in SuperBowl ad

GM, Toyota and VW Pushed Electric Vehicles

Without a doubt, Volkswagen produces some of the funniest and most entertaining SuperBowl ads in automotive. We’ve all seen and loved them. This year, VW has released its game day advertisement early, titled Wings.

The commercial features a father and daughter driving along when the dad sees the odometer roll over to 100,000 miles. He points it out to his daughter proudly. She says “What’s the big deal?”  He tells her that every time a Volkswagen reaches a hundred thousand miles, a VW engineer gets his wings.

Scenes of engineers at the VW assembly and design plants randomly sprouting big, angelic wings ensue. Then, of course, the daughter (obviously unimpressed) says “Ya, dad, and at 200,000 miles, rainbows shoot out of their butts.” Oh, the humanity!
