Plug In Day 2013 was a complete success at the Long Beach, California event.  At least 200 cars and well over 500 people came.

Can you say electric cars (EV) are here at last?  No less than Fiat, Chevrolet, Honda, Mitsubishi, Zero Motorcycles, Brammo, Smart ForTwo EV and more came to give curious attendees a drive at Plug In Day 2013.  While Tesla Motors wasn’t officially there, their drivers were en force.  Most offered rides with a few brave ones that let some drive them.

We did got a quick spin around a few blocks with the Fiat 500e and had a great time with it.  We look forward to a longer seven day test drive to see how we do with this fun EV.  Zero Motorcycles and Brammo made some instant fans from motorcycle riders who tried their electric motorcycles for the first time.

We’ll have a few interviews and videos ready for you tomorrow from Paul Scott, Co-Founder of Plug In America and Nissan Leaf and solar panel expert, as well as Kitty Adam, Co-Chair of Adopt a Charger.  We’ll also have two motorcycle riders talk about their first impression riding electric bikes, Harlan Flagg from Hollywood Electrics and more.
