Bugatti Chiron Will Do 0-60 In 2 Seconds

Production of the Bugatti Veyron mega-supercar is completing for the final few models to be distributed to buyers with all planned builds being sold out. Now, the company is moving towards the next-generation of Bugatti which is being called the Chiron. The trouble is, when you build the greatest supercar to ever ply the pavement, topping that isn’t exactly easy.

To prove that it can be done, however, Bugatti is claiming that the new Chiron, which has been showcased as a concept, will be capable of zero to sixty times of close to two seconds. The expectation, at least according to Bugatti’s build sheet, will be that the Chiron will produce 1,500 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque. Its top speed will be in the high 200s (280-290 mph).

CAR Magazine went inside Bugatti for a full expose of the company and gleaned some closely-held details for the Chiron’s plans. A lot of technology is going into the car as Bugatti, the showcase brand for the Volkswagen Group, works towards a street-ready reveal version of the new supercar.
