One Steph Beyond – a solo motorcycle ride around the world

Steph Jeavons plans to ride her motorcycle around the world. Literally. She will begin later this month, raising funds for Rally 4 Life along the way. She’ll see 42 countries and tracking will be live thanks to sponsor Bike Trac.

Steph leaves on March 23 from the Ace Cafe in London, down to the English Channel, across to Europe and beyond. She will visit all seven continents along the way, leaving Europe for Turkey, Iran, the United Arab Emerites, India, Nepal, Thailand, Australia, South America, then North America. She’ll leave Canada for Africa, across to Europe and then back home. The trip will take at least a year to complete.

The bike is a Honda CRF250L and Steph says:

“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for more years than I care to remember, and so after much deliberation I finally decided that this is the year. The support I’ve had from everyone has been amazing and while I’m no stranger to riding off-road or remotely, having been an off-road instructor for several years and traveled extensively overseas, it ‘s still a very daunting prospect given the extremities of the terrain and climates I’ll be riding through.”

Steph is an adventure motorcyclist from the United Kingdom whose blog, the Adventure Bike Blog, chronicles her rides and adventures. From her blog, she will issue updates on her trip, occasional video blog entries, and more. You can find her on Facebook, YouTube, and other places via her blog.
