Range Rover now accepting applicants for WISE Scholarship 2014

The Range Rover Evoque WISE Scholarship 2014 is now open for applications for women in the United Kingdom. The scholarship fund for Women In Science and Engineering (WISE) is looking for two female students to receive a thousand British pounds per year towards three years of studies plus practical support through a mentoring program and summer placement at Jaguar Land Rover in Warwickshire.

The program is part of a national boost for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) throughout the UK.

2013 Range Rover Evoque WISE Scholarship beneficiary Harriet Vickers

2013 scholarship winner Harriet Vickers, 19, has completed her first year of work with Rover and will continue on at Durham University. “The support that the Scholarship has given me over the past year has been fantastic,” Vickers says.  “In addition to the financial aid, having access to a mentor with a wealth of experience in the world of engineering has been invaluable.  I’m now planning my work placement at Jaguar Land Rover and am looking forward to getting stuck into some more practical work over the summer.”

This year, Land Rover is looking for both an undergraduate student and an engineering apprentice. Interested applicants can visit landrover.co.uk for more details.
