Energica EGO Debuted in US and becomes ChargePoint’s first electric motorcycle partner

Campbell, Calif.– Handcrafted in Modena Italy, the Energica EGO an electric superbike that seamlessly combines technology and innovation. ChargePoint – the world’s largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network – is proud to partner for the EGO’s launch ensuring new owners have access to the over 18,000 ChargePoint charging locations in North America.

Energica Ego is the world’s first Italian electric superbike, a cutting edge green product that can count on relevant technical partners beside being built with F1 technologies as 3D Printing process. Energica Ego can reach a top speed of 240 km/h and is equipped with Vehicle Control Unit and an innovative multi-map system for energy management. The 100 kW engine, the extraordinary 195 Nm torque and a characteristic whistling sound are what makes Energica Ego “the next big thing”.

ChargePoint has put the EGO through its Vehicle Interoperability Program (VIP) to ensure the bike’s software supports charging on the ChargePoint network and all standard chargers. Energica is also supplying the EGO owners ChargePoint membership cards at no additional cost when they purchase the bike ensuring they have immediate access to the world’s largest network of EV charging stations.
