Ford Sends 3 Custom EcoBoost 2015 Expeditions To SEMA

The 2015 Ford Expedition will be showcased in three ultra-modified versions at the SEMA show next week. These EcoBoost-powered sport utilities were modified by three well-known industry builders. One Expedition is winter-themed, another performance-themed, and a third is a sophisticated night on the town machine.

Tjin Edition, DUB Magazine, and Vaccar were the builders behind the three 2015 Expedition mods. “The builders really outdid themselves with these one-of-a-kind versions of Ford’s full-size utility,” said Mike Nicopolis, of Ford’s SEMA aftermarket support group. “The 2015 Ford Expedition offers great space, performance and capability in an impressive package that is the perfect platform for creativity and customization.”

TJIN

The 2015 Ford Expedition by Tjin Edition is a low-rider rendition with huge 24-inch custom Rotiform wheels, Falken low-profile tires, and custom metal fenders and an Axalta Coating System custom paint covering. Twin Webasto sunroofs and custom lighting finish the exterior work.

Under the hood, the Tjin Edition Ford Expedition has a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that’s been boosted through exhaust and tuning to 405 horsepower thanks to MagnaFlow and Royal Purple.

Dub-Rendering

The 2015 Ford Expedition by DUB Magazine is the most sophisticated Ford SUV on the road. It rides on 26-inch DS644 concave wheels from Dropstars and low-wall Pirelli tires. Tinted windows, integrated radar detection, mesh accents, front grille lighting, and custom paint adorn the exterior.

A multimedia sound system, custom upholstery, custom LED lighting, a vehicle-length center console with plugs for tablets and headphones, and more adorn the interior. Hidden motorized boxes give safe storage for valuables as well. Rear passengers have multiple monitors for entertainment, a video gaming system, wireless headphones, and Internet access.

Under the hood, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine has been given a custom exhaust from Borla Performance and a new suspension kit gives the Expedition the ability to raise and lower at the curb.

Vaccar-Redering

The 2015 Ford Expedition XLT by Vaccar finishes the trio with a winter driving theme. Most of the tuning here is about winter driving, with a two-matte mountain gray paint finish, BASF accents, a Grille Guardian bull bar, Monster Hooks swivels, spring steps and a hitch stop from Go Rhino! under a MegaWarrior cargo basket. 20-inch M15 wheels from Mamba and Grabber AT tires from General complete the exterior.

Inside, Vaccar Lux Ultra-Suede upholstery adds to the comfort zone .
