Ford Working on Hybrid F-150 Pickup Truck

Ford’s global product development chief Raj Nair spoke with the Detroit Free Press and let slip that the company is working on a hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain for its newly-designed F-150 pickup truck. The impetus is fuel economy and Ford’s goal to have a hybrid pickup in its lineup by 2020.

Nair also dropped another bombshell on the newspaper: “if we see demand, we’ve got diesels in the portfolio.”
