Rumor: Clarkson, Hammond and May Doing Top Gear-like Show on Netflix

The former crew of the Top Gear show in the United Kingdom, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, have long been rumored to return to television with a similarly-themed show all their own. Rumors have circulated as to where, exactly, the trio will go on the air, but the latest is the most intriguing. According to the Daily Mirror in London, the former Top Gear trio is finalizing a deal with Netflix.

Reporting has been heavy on the movements of the three since the show’s ending (and now new beginnings with a new cast). The three stars of the former show have been spotted meeting with several suitors hoping to woo them towards their networks. The most persistent of which has been ITV in Britain. Now it looks like U.S.-based Netflix may have the upper hand in negotiations.

The show would likely debut, no matter what network it ends up with, early next year.
