Car Culture Around the World

Our friends at Insurance4CarHire.com sent us this infographic that details car culture around the globe. It’s pretty informative and has more than a few interesting points.

As you can see the infographic breaks down the facts and figures of car ownership, using the top producers of motor vehicles (China, USA, Japan and Germany) as comparative case studies. I think it’s amazing how China is now the largest producer of cars around the world, when only 30 years ago very few people in the country even owned a car. It’s also interesting how governments around the world are reacting to the environmental impact of so many vehicles on our roads, and are backing schemes to encourage the purchase of electric and hybrid cars – for example, did you know that electric cars are exempt from the London congestion charge?
