Porsche has expanded its all-electric SUV lineup with the debut of the 2026 Cayenne S Electric, a new mid-tier performance model positioned between the standard Cayenne Electric and the range-topping Turbo Electric. The new variant aims to strike a balance between everyday usability and high performance while adding distinctive styling and additional equipment options.
The Cayenne S Electric uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 400 kW (536 hp), with up to 490 kW (657 hp) available when Launch Control is engaged. That output allows the SUV to sprint from 0–60 mph in about 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of roughly 155 mph, placing it firmly in the high-performance luxury EV category.
Porsche equips the model with a 113-kWh high-voltage battery and an 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling ultra-fast DC charging. Under ideal conditions, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes using high-power fast chargers delivering up to around 400 kW.
The Cayenne S Electric receives model-specific exterior elements, including front and rear accents finished in Volcano Grey Metallic along with 20-inch Cayenne S Aero wheels. Porsche also offers a wide range of customization options, with 13 exterior colors and multiple interior packages available.
Performance-oriented options include:
- Porsche Active Ride suspension for improved stability and comfort
- Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) for enhanced handling
- Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB)
- Sport Chrono Package with Push-to-Pass, delivering a temporary 120-hp boost for up to 10 seconds
These systems aim to maintain the driving dynamics expected from the Porsche brand even in a large electric SUV.
Alongside the Cayenne S Electric, Porsche is introducing curated “Style” packages from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. The first is the Interior Style Package, featuring coordinated materials and colors such as two-tone leather upholstery, green accent stitching, aluminum trim, and color-matched interior details designed to create a more bespoke cabin environment.
The 2026 Cayenne S Electric is available to order now in the U.S. with a starting MSRP of $126,300 (excluding destination). Deliveries are expected to begin in late summer 2026.
Together with the base and Turbo versions, the Cayenne S Electric strengthens Porsche’s push into high-performance EV SUVs while maintaining the Cayenne’s reputation for speed, luxury, and everyday usability.
