Alpine Unveils Alpenglow HY4 With 4-Cyl Hydrogen Engine Prototype
Alpine has presented the Alpine Alpenglow Hy4 concept, following on its 2022 Paris Motor Show unveiling of the original Alpenglow concept. The “rolling lab” features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 340 horsepower by burning hydrogen. A six-cylinder design is coming soon.

General Motors Announces Chevrolet Silverado EV In Production
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV electric pickup truck has entered production for North American sales. Both the WT (“work truck”) and RST will be available to customers who’ve pre-ordered soon. Specs include up to 450 miles of range (EPA estimate), up to 754 horsepower, and standard DC fast charging up to 350 kW.

Porsche Completes Development of Hybrid 911 Variant
Porsche has announced that the extensive development and testing program for a 911 model variant with performance-focused hybrid drive is now ready for production. The new Porsche 911 hybrid will unveil on May 28, 2024.

Chevrolet Equinox EV Unveiled
Chevrolet has unveiled its new Equinox EV, an all-electric version of the Equinox SUV. “We are at a turning point where EVs will be the mainstream choice for the next generation of customers and Equinox EV will lead this charge for us,” said Mary Barra, Chair and CEO of General Motors. “With the flexibility of GM’s Ultium Platform, we are bringing to market vehicles at nearly every price point and for every purpose.

U.S. Boosting Tariffs On Chinese EVs to 100%
Electric vehicles and components for them that are imported from China will see tariffs increase. Electric vehicles will be taxed at 100 percent while most components will be taxed at 25 to 50 percent.

McLaren Unveils Most Powerful Trail-Legal e-Bike
McLaren has unveiled new electric bicycles, the Extreme 600 and Sport 600, as the most powerful street- and trail-legal e-bikes on offer. The bikes have carbon fiber, race modes, and limited production numbers.
